positive: hugh jackman was outstanding. he truly was the standout performance of the film and i think he honestly deserves that oscar nomination. anne hathaway; barely on screen but she sure as hell leaves an impression. possibly the first time i've though "nah, wouldn't" about her as well. amanda seyfried was a lot better than i expected although i thought samantha banks as Éponine was a far more engaging actress. the negative russel crowe was pretty crap. where was the power and authority javert? he managed to be the dick that the character requires but that's it. the working class seemed... read more
