this has now officially replaced my absolute dark knight hardcover. i rate parts 1 & 2 as one film, basically the same as kill bill. not just because they are necessarily one whole film split into two, but rather because i will never watch them separately and will always make time to watch them back to back. anyways, i like part 1 slightly more than part 2 if i was to get technical, but as a whole it's damn near perfection. the voice cast give their best effort with peter weller absolutely rocking batman. the score is superb, it never wavers and stays consistently tense with an 80's read more

brilliant. it's interesting watching this with the knowledge of batman vs. superman: dawn of justice coming. i'm eager to see what they've taken from this story and what they haven't. it's a shame it's not a full on adaption as the story of an aging batman is well used here. his need to have purpose and semi-reluctance to put on the suit again is superb. i say semi-reluctance. it doesn't really take a lot for him to do it but there's definitely a part of him that doesn't want to anymore. read more
