incredibly okay movie, this one. there are a handful of genuinely great-no-strings-attached scenes in this. the soldiers hiding on one of those unreasonably high train bridges and the slow reveal of godzilla in a dust cloud filmed from ground level are my personal favourites. but unfortunately, some of the scenes where humans are attacked by monsters get a bit too close to the modern action movie "surviving unreasonable situations" area for my liking. doesn't help that the characters surviving these things are just the blandest most generic blank slates ever. it's the classic hollywood case... read more

Godzilla has a cameo in this movie, the rest of the movie concerns a bunch of boring human characters that no one cares about running around, trying to save the world from 2 giant monsters called Mutos. Godzilla takes ages to show up, and when he does, the monster fights are seen from such a distance, and shrouded in so much darkness and smoke, you can barely see anything. to make matters worse, the camera keeps cutting away to show us what those previously mentioned human characters are doing. its almost as if Gareth Edwards wanted to make a monster movie without showing any monsters read more

I feel like I should like this movie more than I do Arron Taylor-Johnson is fine in the lead Elizabeth Olsen is there the whole entire movie ok most of it is way to dark and the middle section of the movie is boring and the movie is hard to follow a the score is pretty good and the CG is good read more

Galiba sansürlü versiyonunu izledim. Çünkü ne zaman canavarlar belirse ekran karardı. Böyle bir faciayı Game Of Thrones'da da yaşamıştım. Filmi izlememdeki tek motivasyonum canavarları görmekti ama nasip olmadı. Karakterlerin tek düzeliğine falan ise hiç değinmeyeceğim.
