i had my hateful review all ready to go before i saw this. but you know what? i liked it... not the best movie ever but it wasnt half bad. it looked great, the cast rocked (except for the guy playing cyclops (?)) and the story was pretty good. its a little underwhelming as a finale to a series and feels more like a middle of the road movie but nonetheless i really enjoyed it. read more

i was hoping the xmen died with logan, a really dark and thematical moment that could end on a sad but hopeful ending. yet we get this, that i was so lost in the middle of the film, i genuinily started rewatching bojack horseman. the visuals are not bad but they are flashy more than anything, the fight scenes are a joke, or have no context, like the last fight was well choreographed but it was a phantom menace situation, i just dont feel threatened or care about the heroes and villains, there are some scenes that are just too long, michael fassbender has such a good carrer i feel bad for read more

look at all of these actors faces! wait, let me show you another close up! i don't think you got it. another close-up! - simon kinberg despite the reliance on close-ups, this movie lacks any of the emotional impact or gravitas that this type of story deserves. none of the relationships feel earned, the plot has a lot of holes in it, and some of the characterizations seem inconsistent with previous movies and some of the actions near the end of this film. the actors have a lot of talent and do what they can but they can't overcome the stupidity of the script and the somewhat bumbling execution... read more

we searched for the first x-men series with candles. this is the worst movie that can be made with the budget. wrong actor / actress selections. the script might be better. jean gray in the first series was chosen more accurately as acting. the new young actors are very artificial, their acting is not very watchful. so much dramatic scene and it squeezed me. there's nothing good except james mcavoy. read more

well, it certainly wasn't the worst movie i've ever seen like people are making it out to be. lots of questionable acting, weird very cringy dialogue(maybe you should call it x-women then) and lots of things just not really adding up (eric????). but if you turn your brain off and just watch it for fun it's not too bad. sophie turner was great for the most part save for a few really awkward moments. cgi stuff was pretty awesome. ending was a poopy diaper though. felt hollow. not incredible, not awful either. read more

This film was disappointing. The execution was just awful, I feel like this story has so much more to offer than what was shown in this film and it's just such a shame it didn't deliver on that. The cast is great but the weak script just doesn't give them a chance to shine. Visually the film was great, it had good action sequences and special effects. Plot-wise the movie was just way too predictable and didn't really offer much. read more

Yet another movie from the X-Men franchise and they just seem to be getting worse. This times around James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence take a backseat as the story revolves around Jean Grey played by Sophie Turner. The effects just seem to get in the way of the action as with other movies like this and it gets a bit confusing as who is on which side or what. People who are into the franchise will probably like it but for me just average. read more

At a time when public opinion perceives X-Men to be 'super heroes', a space accident causes Jean Grey inherits power unlike any seen before that quickly prove to be uncontrollable.
