good carefree fun around the world. recent hollywood animations have gone the route of creating really irritating anti-heroes take take up more screentime (& screenspace) than the supposed leads, and whilst i did not appreciate this, what i did appreciate were the global visuals and diverse settings of the races. japan was funniest, as one could imbibe the vibe of tokyo in the opening segment. the brit agents carried the film. read more

this film really gets a raw deal. in the world of pixar it's not their best but it's still significantly better than a lot of other dross that gets released. i enjoy it, my wife enjoys it and wonderfully, my 1 year old enjoyed it. admittedly, he doesn't sit still long so we watched over many days in 20 minute blasts whilst we played but it still held his attention. something only animal programmes and rugby have done previously. read more

To accurately describe how bad Cars 2 is, one would have to create words so vulgar and offensive as well as totally empty and boring that they would literally make gold turn to shit as they are spoken. read more

i love cars,because you can see the love of the animators for cars, and also my love for cars helps. but this movie is just james bond in worst version, mater worked in the originalk, because he was barely in it, he was a comedic relief, but when you make him the main, it becomes annoying. the story is uninspired, and are you telling me a non trained mater, is gonna save the day, fuck off read more

Can't really blame them but they really didn't want to make another movie about anthropomorphic cars! Reminded me of all the Garfield content out there where the idea he's a cat has been forgotten. read more

This has been shat on from such a great height that Pixar have moved it to the back of its movie list on Disney+, meanwhile Cars goes straight next to Cars 3 as if the middle chapter never happened. Pixar's follow up of its huge commercial success takes it in a completely different direction, we're no longer in a sleepy town, and Lightning is no longer a huge prima donna, so where does Cars 2 go to find its central conflict?
