holy shit, i'd heard this film was off the charts when it comes to dodgy science but it really is something else. that's not to say it's completely terrible, it just doesn't help when you're sat there going "that's bullshit, that wouldn't happen, that's not feasible, oh c'mon!" i'm sure there's going to be a blog entry somewhere listing all the scientific inaccuracies in this film. there's some astoundingly awful vfx work here too. for its age some is quite passable but others are just disgraceful. read more

besides the effects being lackluster (i mean,,, it's 2003), i thought the movie was actually decent despite other ratings. it's a cool subject that keeps the viewer interested even with the iffy science. love all the actors and definitely love having so many smart dudes in 1 place ? read more
