the way back (2020) - a good basketball movie? at the beginning of the way back, jack cunningham is in a similar valley to his interpreter. now that his marriage is over, he is an anonymous construction worker during the day, and in the evening such a regular appearance in a bar that practically everyone knows him by name. although he still looks a bit like a social drinker in that latter capacity, he is also happy to knock back during working hours or when he is home alone. it is never mentioned aloud, but it is clear that jack, with alcohol, is trying to fill the void in his life. in read more
