This series by Taylor Sheridan is the continued story from the first generation of American-born Duttons in his last year’s beautiful series 1883. It will certainly appeal to Yellowstone fans. In this premiere we are meeting young passionate Jack Dutton (Darren Mann). But none of the characters shine exceptionally and we will have to be patient to find out who would be given the leading role.
1923 touches of modernity collide with cowboy values
The multifaceted story focusses on many plots at once, and this makes it a little confusing at start.
Quotes that I recall are: "Violence has always haunted this family. . . . Where it doesn't follow, we hunt it down. We seek it." and "a leopard the size of a sofa."
