Quotes I had lying arround on my phone... Not sure how reliable I was in taking them, but I suspect I wasn't until episode 24 (large gap to 13 and nothing before this one).

Some random thoughts here...

My very own first kdrama. Definitely interesting and binge watching. Can be a bit cheesy and cringey at times.
Well defined characters and interesting dialogs that give insights into Korea's past and philosophical currents of the time.
The main flaw is that it feels heavily romanticized, since most often the "bad guys" will come across as having to do their binding for duty sake instead of pure greed. And in the 13th century I'm guessing things were pretty cut-throat back then, both figuratively and literally.
BTW, very confusing at first for a first timer dealing with korean names and during the first scenes they all wear the same clothes, hats and beards... O_O
