“An intrepid travelling companion!”
Tensions emerge between Ann and Jack largely due to Jack’s increasing arrogance and her refusal to introduce Ann to her friends. The division of the Walker land reaches a crescendo due to Ann’s brother-in-law’s greed and reluctance to part with what he perceives to be his right.

Euphemisms of the week – “They lead … very different lives.” – “She has an … unnatural hold over her.” “She is an … intrepid travelling companion.” There is also the direct use of ‘debauched’ which is more a slander than a euphemism.

A decent finale concluding a solid second season, yet it never hit the heights of season one.
